Just called asking for a specific item... Spoke with Justin... amazing customer service went above and beyond to help me out..
The staff are as well-informed about aquarium stock as a reasonable person could expect (well enough to know that Goldfish DO NOT belong in a tank with most other stock), and the store itself is kept clean. No real smell which says "You are in a pet store". They stock a wide variety of freshwater fish and aquarium equipment all at a reasonable price. Local enthusiasts should check in occasionally to see what the most recent eccentric stock happens to be!
Overpriced dog food. Poor fish selection. Cats that you feel horrible for kept in cramped cages. I would have only given 1 star but they have nice employees. Get your food from TSC if you are looking for high quality competitively priced feed.
Bought two hamsters that were females. Neither were supposed to be in contact with males. Both were pregnant. We tried to take them back but got the run around and finally they took the hamsters back. They had no idea which was male or female. Then didn't know if it was pregnant or not. I figured that out on my own. And the staff were rude when telling us we were wrong. Then they back tracked and said that oh yep they are pregnant. No kidding I'm the one that told you. Don't go there. Petsmart or anywhere else.
Always very helpful, wish their fish selection was better, great products and very good pet food selections.
One gripe of mine is that their aquatic plants are often host to any number of problems that aren't easily rectified, including the dreaded Hair Algae and stinging Hydras. Be sure to inspect any plant purchases you make here. Snails are the least of your problems.
