I use Choice Hotels about 90% of the time and this was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. I would give a 0 star rating if possible. The entire front of the heater fell off when I turned it on. I put it back on and it fell off again. The room didn’t have a blow dryer as advertised. There were at least two signs saying to dial 0 if there was a problem. I couldn’t dial zero because the phone only had static. I called the hotel directly on my cell and it just rang and rang. I was on the far opposite side of the front desk so I had to walk all the way across. The mirror had brown rust like spots all over it! I thought maybe I could relax and take a bath after being so irritated but the tub wouldn’t hold water. I decided to take a quick shower and noticed mold on the shower curtain and the ceiling over the shower. The ice bucket had what appeared to be mold as well. There was also a rip in the wallpaper just outside the bathroom. I finally went to bed and when I turned off the lights it was still bright in the room because the vinyl curtains had hundreds of pin holes to let in light. Oh, the pool was disgusting! The paint was peeling off the steps and it had something floating in it. The bed was comfortable but the pillows smelled like sweat and needed washed! The housekeeping staff I talked to were pleasant.

The rooms were clean, and the pool was nice. Loved the hot tub. Loved the shower and bath tub. There was direct access from the even numbered rooms on the first floor, which was great. Seemed like a lot of things were kind of falling apart though. Also, there is a charge for a very underwhelming breakfast. Seems like we could have found a better place for our money. We won't stay there again, but it wasn't a terrible experience.

My husband was already asleep, and we were all tired. We didn't want to drag our stuff to another room at midnight. I went to the front desk & pointed out that if we can switch rooms, there must be sheets, etc from that room we could use. She said she would do that, "if we didn't tell". As she was looking up which room from which to get sheets, I said that her attitude of indifference was annoying..that expecting sheets, etc wasn't an unusual request. She said that because we made the reservation online, she didn't have to accommodate us. She acted like it was somehow either our fault, ( since we booked online), or corporate's fault for taking the reservation, and said that it's "normal" in the hotel business that they may have no sheets or pillows. I said that is ridiculous. That expecting f***g sheets and pillows was normal. She said, " If you are going to cuss, I am not helping you", and she stopped her search for sheets. She evened threatened to call the police and have us kicked out!

We were very happy with our stay at the Quality Inn in Springfield, OH. The price was very reasonable and the inn was clean and comfortable. While it does not have that "brand-new" look, it has been maintained well and I felt safe there. The room fixtures were clean, nice and in good repair. The bedding was very clean , the mattress was obviously newer and of good quality. The bathroom also was in good shape and clean. Hotel staff were courteous, helpful and prompt. We did not swim but the pool area looked very inviting. The shower temperature and water pressure were very good. Nothing to complain about! Great price!

Stayed one night on the 15 Nov 2017 on a business trip in room 245. I give this hotel two stars --- one for friendly desk clerks, and two for room cleanliness. The rest --- absolutely inexcusable. First the beds: Mattresses with no firmness and were sagging. Springs could be felt on the top of the mattress (all over). Just by viewing the beds it can be observed that the mattresses were sagging. Beds were very low to the floor. Box spring skirtings were terribly wrinkled. To get out of the bed one had to "climb" out. Pillows had some kind of strong chemical odor to them. Did not rest well through the night because of the poor condition of the mattress. Exasperated chronic back problems. Drapes: The black out drapes were jammed in the track. Fought with them to close them with fear of ripping the whole thing down. Previous guest(s) must have had trouble too --- curtain pull rod found on top of AC unit. NO refrigerator and microwave. BOTH upstairs and downstairs ice machines out of order. The downstairs unit had an old sign taped on it regarding its broken condition. The cover to the upstairs ice machine was removed and found laying on the floor in front of the unit! Toilet: Had to hold down the lever to complete the flush. Tub faucet: Had to "wrench" it closed to prevent it from dripping. By the way --- don't bother to fill out the "Comment Card" that is found in the room. When I got mine home, I opened it up and found it already filled out by a guest on 5 May 2017 --- and the room number was 250 (6 months prior to my stay) and the room number was a different room! The card apparently never read or brought to the attention of management. That guest wrote this: QUOTE: "You have no elevator and no handicap access. I saw a disabled person forced to climb your stairway by dragging himself up by his arms. I would think the legal liability would put you at great risk as a motel. Just to risk customers being injured in moving luggage is high enough. At least offer to help carry bags." Unquote. For me I travel extensively and am a "CHOICE" member. I have stayed in many Quality Inns. You pay premium price for these rooms and expect to have premium service and accommodations. This is not the case in this hotel. In my opinion the rate is a rip off! The previous night I stayed at the Quality Inn in Milroy, PA. Absolutely EXCELLENT on all accounts. This Springfield Ohio Quality Inn should be stripped of the Quality Inn name brand, for it comes nowhere close to being "Quality". Will never lodge here again. The name of the hotel's manager is Johnathon King, by the way.

I didn't sleep well that night. I was angry and found myself waiting for a knock to be told to leave. I will not stay here again, unless I am assured that Stacy is no longer an employee, and that her attitude is not representative of their establishment. I stay at Quality Inns many times a year. I don't normally think one employee should make me give a bad review, but this one was over the top. There are far too many hotels in the area to have to return here.

I rented a room for 4 adults with a king bed and a fold - out sofa. When we were ready for bed, we could not find any sheets, pillows, or blankets for the sofa. The other couple went to the front desk, and Stacy told them that she didn't have any bedding, but she could transfer us to another room. There was nothing else she could/would do. She had an attitude that we were just out of luck...like it wasn't really that big of a deal. She seemed bothered that we were even asking for them.
